Children’s Ministry Vision

Proverbs 22:6 – “Train up a child in the way he should go. And when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Our Children’s Ministry Exists to:

S hare Christ with the children of our community.
T eam them with other believers.
A dvance them in their spiritual maturity.
R ecognize their spiritual gifts.
S urrender their lives to God.

Our children are shining STARS, which the Lord has made. For God has a plan for each one of their lives.

Our Sunday school teachers consist of a committed group of teachers who rotate monthly and meet regularly for prayer and training. Our children are cared for and our teachers pray for the children as well. Bible memorization is encouraged.

For the following groups, the children stay in service for worship then are dismissed after worship to go to their individual classes.

We also have Awards Sunday (quarterly) for the Primaries and Middlers that receive little gifts for the following categories:

•  Bring Your Bible
•  Memorize Your Scripture
•  Faithful Tither
•  Best Helper
•  Ministering to A Friend

JUNIORS – Ages 11-13

Both juniors and our youth are active in Christian service and have participated in feeding the homeless. They also reach out to the community by performing skits and plays at local parks which include sharing the salvation message. The teachers instruct the students in a small group setting that meets every other Sunday when the Youth doesn’t meet. There is a great deal of sharing and discussion of the lesson and a time of prayer.

The following are some of the topics that are discussed.

• Peer Pressure
• How to Choose Your Friends Wisely
• Homelessness
• The Love of Money is the Root of Evil
• Honoring Your Parents Even When It’s Hard
• Ways to Respect Authority
• Who’s Who In The Bible

MIDDLERS – Ages 7-10

The teachers are currently using the Radiant Life Curriculum. We begin the class with prayer followed by offering collection and attendance. The children are encouraged to memorize scripture, bring their bibles and invite a friend.

Some of the topics covered are:

• The Church is a Body
• Why do we do Church?

The children are sent home with activity pamphlets to work at home with their parents.
